Help with junior dress code please

Hi everyone,
I'm 16 but because I was 15 on the 1st Jan 08, this year I'm still counted as a 15 year old. I was bought a pair of beautiful long boots for my birthday and as I have seen many juniors wearing jodhpur boots and gaters, I'm hoping there wouldn't be a problem with me wearing them but.... I don't want to get to a compertition and be told otherwise as I'd feel just a tad bit silly! Thanks, Corrie

RE: Help with junior dress code please

all it states in the rule book is that boots may be top boots or jodphur boots so i would assume by this that you will be fine in your long boots, make sure you have some lessons in them so you are used to riding in them when you get to a competition and good luck . if you're still unsure why not take both pairs of boots with you and check with the organisers when you arrive.

You can wear them. Don't worry. I think most juniors wear boots and gaiters as they are cheaper and legs are still growing. Lucky you having long boots, I think they look very professional

RE: Help with junior dress code please

You are fine to wear your long boots - my daughter been wearing them since she was 11. As you are young and possibly still growing (your muscles will develope more) just keep an eye that they do not become too tight and restrict your growth. I am sure you will look very smart. Good luck competing in them.
