Get involved

There are many ways to enjoy dressage, from the saddle or the ground. British Dressage organises over 2,000 competitions throughout the year, for all levels, so browse through the national and international diaries and get out there!

To support your personal ambitions, there is plenty of training on offer, along with clinics, camps, demonstrations and socials – just visit the Your Region section to see what’s on near you.

British Dressage is here to help with more specialist advice and training too. Dressage is accessible for those with disabilities – find out how to get started on our Para Equestrian pages. It can also offer good career paths for those dedicated to the sport – take a look at the Careers in Dressage section.

In addition, there are many opportunities to get more ‘hands on’ – after all, without the thousands of volunteers who give their services, the sport simply couldn’t exist. As well as the scorers, writers, runners and stewards, did you know all British Dressage judges are unpaid volunteers? If you feel you can offer something, visit our Volunteering section – it won’t just be dressage that benefits!
