Top dressage on offer at premier league dressage fixtures 2011
last updated on February 11, 2011 16:18
Our premier league shows are the high profile showcase events on the national dressage circuit. They offer competition from advanced medium level through to grand prix and attract our top riders, often including young horse classes as well as FEI pony, junior and young rider sections.
Held at prominent venues around the UK the shows are an ideal environment for those gearing up to serious international competition. For many they are a chance to chase direct qualification for the national championships in the FEI classes of PSG, Int 1 and GP. They are also regularly attended by BD under 21’s selectors and are a great place to spot upcoming talent as well as watch the seasoned professionals at work.
For spectators the shows offer top flight dressage at some of the UK’s premier dressage venues and are a rare opportunity to see technical grand prix special tests and high level freestyle to music in the flesh. Admission is usually free and should prove well worth a visit. Eight shows make up the prestigious 2011 premier league dressage series that runs from March through to the end of July.
Schedules for all premier leagues will appear in the relevant issue of British Dressage Magazine (highlighted with a blue border) and take place on the dates below:
