Wie Weltmeyer, the horse that helped Britain win team bronze at the 2003 European Dressage Championships, has been retired from competition.
Emma Hindle rode the 16-year-old licensed Hanoverian stallion, her first international grand prix horse, for seven years.
They represented Britain at the 2004 Athens Olympics, the 2003 and 2005 European Championships and 2004 World Cup Final.
Wie Weltmeyer will continue to stand at the Brookhouse Stud in Germany, which now boasts one of the biggest collections of internationally successful dressage sires in the world. Click www.brookhousestud.com for more information.
