Olympia World Cup evening includes some additional treats
There will be some special treats in store for the 7,000-strong audience expected for the FEI World Cup qualifier at Olympia on Tuesday evening, 18 December 2007.

Reigning Olympic champion Anky van Grunsven (pictured right) returns not only to compete, but also to reveal some of the secrets that have made her a legend in the sport when she gives her Olympic Masterclass.

Famed as the “Queen of the Kűr”, Anky seeks to make history by winning a third consecutive Olympic title next year. She was back on form this summer after giving birth to her second child in March. Anky won European individual freestyle gold and helped Holland win the team title against Germany for the first time in 40 years.

Her display at Olympia will give a flavour of the preparation she puts in place in the run up to a major competition.

There will also be a unique showcase of dressage stallions entitled “Breeding for Success”, presented by the Kilbees Farm stud in partnership with German international judge Christoph Hess, show jumping legend Paul Schockemöhle and the Westphalian State Stud.

Christoph will assess the ingredients required for breeding the successful competition horse, highlighting the mix of pedigree, conformation and performance that make a potential grand prix dressage horse.

The impressive line-up of stallions will be:

  • Paul Schockemöhle’s five-year-old Daddy Cool (Don Davidoff x Calido), a double stallion performance test winner and 2006 Oldenburg champion.
  • Kilbees Farm Stud’s three-year-old Donaugold (Distelzar x Sokrates), a reserve champion at the Trakehner stallion grading in 2006 and second in his 2007 30-day performance test.
  • Kilbees Farm Stud’s three-year-old British-bred Beltoni (Belissimo M x Rubinstein), winner of his 2007 30-day performance test.
  • Kilbees Farm Stud’s four-year-old Diamonit (Diamond Hit x Santander H), the 2007 Oldenburg Champion.
  • Kilbees Farm Stud’s eight-year-old Rosario (Rubinstein x Castro), a winner of the Oldenburg Championship for three successive years.
