Britains Emma Hindle and her 13-year-old 17hh Hanoverian stallion Lancet achieved a score of more than 73% and third place at the 2006 FEI World Cup Central League Final in Warsaw, Poland. This was despite Emma using the freestyle test and music from her former top horse, the recently retired Wie Weltmeyer.
Emma and Lancet, who is by Wenzel I, the same sire as Louise Nathhorst’s successful international ride Walk On Top, also took second in the grand prix with more than 70%.
"My aim for this season is for us both to produce consistent grand prix tests without mistakes. I was really happy with his grand prix here. I always concentrate on the grand prix and grand prix special before the freestyle, which I will develop over the coming year,” said Emma, who has ridden Lancet since October 2004 and stands him at her base, the Brookhouse Stud in Germany.
The 34-year-old Russian rider Elena Kalinina won the freestyle with nearly 76% as well as the grand prix with her 11-year-old gelding Royal Black Label.
