TMovistar recognised by Breeders
The eight-year-old stallion TMovistar won the Dodson & Horrell Young Dressage Horse Award at the recent British Breeding Breeders’ Dinner held in London.

The eight-year-old stallion by Jazz out of Janny was bred in Holland and is owned by Sarah Tyler-Evans from Hampshire. He started his competition career ridden by Jo Barry, then Lucy Cartwright and last year Carl Hester (pictured) took over the reins. In 2007, the latter combination was invincible during the three-week Spanish Sunshine Tour and won the Advanced Medium National Championships.

Maesyfron Rhett won the Ponies Association UK Pony Performance Dressage Award. The 20-year-old 14hh chesnut gelding is by Ffoslas Dafydd out of Caerescob Mererid. He started off the dressage careers of many riders, including Anne-Marie Perry, Georgina Bolton, brothers Myles and Marcus Watts and is now ridden by Gail Smith.

Former owner Yvonne Watt said: “He is a fantastic little pony and everybody who has ridden him owes him a lot.”

Liz Harcombe’s King’s Piper won the Racehorse To Riding Horse Performance Championships, sponsored by South Essex Insurance Brokers. The 16-year-old 16.2hh gelding is by Nickel King out of Lady Cynthia. Suffolk-based Liz has competed him successfully through the levels up to medium.
