Wiesbaden CDI: Kyrklund at her best
British‑based Finnish rider Kyra Kyrklund continued her impressively consistent form at the Wiesbaden CDI in Germany, 9-12 May 2008, taking the grand prix freestyle with 78.1%.
 
Kyra rode her 13-year-old Max (pictured), with whom she was a close second in the grand prix on a score of 70.75% to Germany’s Anja Plönzke and Tannenhof’s Solero TSF on 70.958%.
 
Former British team member Emma Hindle, who is based at the Brookhouse Stud in Germany, rode her 15-year-old 16.2hh German-bred stallion Lancet to finish sixth in both the grand prix and freestyle, the latter with 70.65%.
 
Emile Faurie and the 10-year-old Dream Of Heidelberg took the runner-up slot in the intermediaire II, having finished 16th in the grand prix.
