last updated on August 09, 2016 09:27
All five horse and rider combiations sailed through the horse inspection today and have been passed fit to compete. They all looked fighting fit under grey skies at the equestrian park at Deodoro. We'll let everyone know the draw and announcement of the team order as soon as the information becomes available.
The riders went in alphabetical order in front of the Ground Jury (Maribel Alonso (MEX - P), Stephen Clarke (GBR), Gary Rockwell (USA), Edward de Wolff van Westerrode (NED), Peter Holler (GER), Thomas Lang (AUT) and Susanne Baarup (DEN)) with Fiona Bigwood presenting Atterupgaards Orthilia first followed by reigning Olympic champions Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro, owned by Carl Hester, Roly Ruard and Anne Barrott. Travelling resevere Lara Griffith brought forward the Bechtolsheimers' Rubin Al Asad with Carl Hester next with his own and Jane de la Mare's Nip Tuck. Finally it was team debutante Spencer Wilton with Jen Goodman's Super Nova.
The team competition and individual qualifying gets underway on Wednesday with the Grand Prix (14:00 - 20:00 BST).
Remember we need you to get behind the team and show your support - find out how.
