Apply now for the 2009-2011 WCDP
You can apply now to be selected for the 2009-2011 World Class Development Programme.
 
Riders aged between 16-30 (on first application) who see themselves as having the exceptional talent and dedication to ride at Olympic and Paralympic level in 2012, 2016 and beyond have the opportunity to be assessed through a two-stage process of viewing trials followed by selection trials.
 
Minimum criteria are included in the selection policy document, which you can download along with the application forms from the British Equestrian Federation website www.bef.co.uk. Applications must arrive by the 29 August 2008.
 
The World Class Development Programme is Lottery funded through UK Sport. The aim of the programme is for potential Olympic and Paralympic riders to be placed onto an established development and training pathway that helps these riders to progress up to podium success.
 
Dressage riders who have benefited from the programme over the past four years include Olympic team member Laura Bechtolsheimer, reserve Maria Eilberg and Paralympic team member Felicity Coulthard.
