The Duchess of Cornwall, patron of the British Equestrian Federation (BEF), gave her best wishes to the riders at a reception for the Olympic dressage, eventing and Paralympic teams, their coaches, managers and suppliers at Hartpury College in Gloucestershire on Friday, 25 July 2008.
The dressage team is currently going through the pre-export quarantine procedure before travelling to Hong Kong on Wednesday for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
BEF chief executive Andrew Finding said: “The team was delighted that our patron was able to join us and share her personal well wishes with the team. The federation wishes the Olympic and Paralympic teams the very best of luck as they go off to Hong Kong, knowing they have had the best preparation. I would also like to thank all of the support staff, team suppliers and the all-important horse owners, who have done so much to get our campaign to this point.”
Finest Brands International, Spillers, Mears and Thermatex are the official supporters of the British equestrian teams. The BEF is also grateful to Horse & Country TV, Merial Animal Health, NAF, Gatehouse, Patey Hats, Macwet, Numed and Equisea Ltd for their support.
