More than 90 riders converged on Myerscough College, Lancs, 26-27 July 2008, for the inaugural English BYRDS Home International where the Eastern England team Ferrari beat more than 20 other teams.
The winning team members were 2007 Pony Talent Spotting winner and youngest team member Claire Gallimore and Leonties Double, Emma Hester on Korenbloem Upbeat, Michelle Watson and GDH Florestans Fire and Alex Hardwick riding Rotspon Rockin. The latter three have all brought their young horses on themselves.
Eastern region BYRDS rep Lorrie Sisson said: “They really gelled as a team. All the hard work they have put in with regional BYRDS team trainers Eleanor Collins and Paul Hayler has paid off.”
Goldsmith Williams, B Embroidery and Albion Saddlemakers sponsored the event.
