NW Regional Championships: Dujardin double

Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro (pictured) continued their outstanding form with two comfortable wins at the North West Regional Championships at Somerford Park, Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, 3rd - 4th August. Carl Hester’s 6 year old gelding by Negro secured both the elementary open and medium open, scoring 77.19% and 75.05% respectively.
“He’s an amazing horse in every way – a real pleasure. His natural paces are breathtaking and he’s very trainable. On top of that he loves the atmosphere of a show and is always a happy person,” said Charlotte.
Charlotte will be heading off to China next week as one of three dressage riders invited by the British Olympic Association (BOA) to take part in the ‘Britain’s Olympic Ambition 2012’ programme.
On her return she and Valegro will contest the Shearwater Young Dressage Horse Championships at the end of August prior to the Nationals in September.
