There will be hot competition to win this yearÂ’s title of National Dressage Champion, as the 2006 titleholder will be rewarded with an all-inclusive luxury two-week holiday for two at the Blue Waters Hotel on the Caribbean Island of Antigua.
British Dressage and the family-owned Blue Waters Hotel, one of Antigua’s longest-established resorts, have signed a three-year contract for the title sponsorship of the National Dressage Championships, which will be known as the Blue Waters National Dressage Championships.
Included in the sponsorship deal is the show’s climax class, the Grand Prix Freestyle to Music Championships, which is the final competition to decide who becomes National Dressage Champion.
Ron Randall, owner of the 77-room hotel, said: “We look forward to welcoming the 2006 Blue Waters National Dressage Champion to Antigua. We appreciate the hard work and commitment made by all riders and hope many will choose to relax, unwind and indulge themselves at Blue Waters at the end of a busy competition season.”
British Dressage Chief Executive David Holmes said: We are delighted to be working with the exclusive and prestigious Blue Waters Hotel and are confident they will get real commercial benefit from their association with dressage. The meticulous attention to detail and style epitomised by Blue Waters is perfectly reflected in our elegant and stylish sport.”
The championships will take place on 14-17 September at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. Tickets will go on sale at the beginning of June. For further details, visit www.bdchampionships.co.uk. For more information about Blue Waters Hotel, click www.bluewaters.net.
