Becky Moody celebrated a hat-trick of wins at the Northern Summer Championships, which took place at Fry’s Equestrian Centre in East Yorkshire, 11-13 August 2008 She rode Judie Lockey’s seven-year-old 17hh German-bred Wallenstein (pictured), a Weltgeist offspring, to head both the prix st georges and advanced medium open. With Sarah Tansey’s six-year-old 16.1hh Westphalian gelding DHI Fiocco, who is by Fidermark, she also took the elementary open title.
Moody said: “Wallenstein is so genuine and trainable; a real sweatheart. I train with David Hunt and he has been incredibly helpful in developing a system which is logical and easy to understand for both rider and horse. It has been a huge help and showed through with both horses performing consistently.”
