2008 Midlands Final: Showmaker impresses with top score

Garry Williams and Showmaker (pictured) continued their incredibly successful career to date by winning two titles at the Midlands Summer Final at Addington Manor, Bucks, 19-20 August 2008.
The six-year-old graded Westphalian stallion by Showstar took the elementary and medium open titles with high-scoring tests. His elementary score, 73.542%, was the highest of the regionals.
Williams describes the 2006 international dressage Horse champion and 2007 Hickstead national and international five-year-old champion as “so smooth to ride, he is like driving a Bentley”.
It was a successful outing for the Williams yard as partner Verity Boys and GDH Flashdancer headed the novice restricted regional.
