Para team prepare to go for gold
With the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games just around the corner, the British para-equestrian riders will be going for gold, hoping to scoop a fourth consecutive team gold as well as defend their individual medals.

The opening ceremony is on 6 September and the equestrian events take place at the Sha Tin Racecourse in Hong Kong from 7-11 September, starting with the team competitition on Sunday.

Team leader Will Connell said: “The whole team is on good form and dealing with any issues that crop up. It’s always difficult to judge the opposition until the competition starts, but we have done all we can to ensure our team is as well prepared as possible.”

You can keep up with all the action via the Equestrian Team GBR website, which includes daily insights from Will Connell.
