Coulthard’s silver takes Britain's Paralympic medal tally to five
Felicity Coulthard pulled out all the stops in the grade II freestyle to grab silver at her first Paralympics, the 2008 Beijing Games in Hong Kong.

The 24-year-old and her own 16.1hh 10-year-old Roffelaar took sixth place in the individual test on Monday and then moved up a gear today to finish second in the freestyle with 71.056%.

Lancashire-based Coulthard, who used music from the film Fiddler on the Roof, said: “I wasn’t necessarily expecting a score as good as that as there were some errors, but I gave it my best effort. It was much cooler tonight, which made it easier for me.”

Tomorrow is the final night of equestrian action when the remaining six riders will contest their freestyle competitions. Lee Pearson is looking to maintain his unbeaten record and ninth Paralympic gold while Sophie Christiansen and Anne Dunham will be hoping for a repeat of their medal-winning performances yesterday. Debbie Criddle, Simon Laurens and Ricky Balshaw will also be vying for freestyle medals.
