British Dressage is delighted to welcome equine back specialist and practice manager of Hartpury veterinary and therapy centre Kathryn Nankervis M.Sc, CVPM to speak at the 2009 Sports Science Seminar. Kathryn will be accompanied by guest speakers; experienced human and horse osteopath Liz Launder and independent scientific consultant and director of nutrition David Marlin.
This will be a fascinating day exploring the most recent research developments relating to the dressage horse, back function and musculoskeletal conditions with some of the most eminent figures in this field. Practical sessions looking at the water treadmill and motion capture systems will help to fully illustrate these theories. Further sessions will then look specifically at rider symmetry, flexibility and rider performance with use of the mechanical horse.
