Jane Gregory gave Lucky Star his first outing since the Olympics to take fourth place in the grand prix freestyle with 71.25% at Zwolle CDI in Holland.

 

The 17-year-old Danish-bred gelding by Lucky Light moved up from fifth place on 67.276% in the grand prix.

 

Gregory said: “I rode slightly cautiously, aiming for a correct test, as it was the first time we have performed the new grand prix. It is a big ask for a horse do the test basically back to front after so many years of performing the old one.”

 

Holland’s Hans Peter Minderhoud and Carl Hester’s former ride, Escapado, won both the grand prix and freestyle.
