2009 NW Winter Final: double win and top score for Corbiere

Kate Attlee and Corbiere scored the highest percentage of the show at the North West Winter Final, held at Myerscough College, Lancs, 11-15 February 2009. They won the medium open title with 73.06% and the medium freestyle with their personal best for a regional final, 74.95%.
This was the eight-year-old’s highest-level wins to date. The 16.1hh German-bred gelding by Cockpit is owned by Ann Willetts and Kate has had the ride on him for the past two years.
“He is a power-packed pony and is becoming more expressive the more competitions he does,” said Attlee, who attributes part of her success to Trish Gardiner for her help in the warm-up.
