British riders impressed at a recent international friendly in Belgium, the Zandhoven CDN (15 March 2009) with a win in the prix st georges and a second and third placing in the grand prix.
Young rider Emily Cousins, who is trained by Sarah Millis, won the PSG on her 10-year-old Dutch warmblood Solo Bachelorette (pictured) with 68.947%. Former British team member Wayne Channon was back in action with his Dutch warmblood stallion Lorenzo to take the runner-up slot in the GP on 68.085%. Channon is based in Belgium and used this show as a warm-up for the international season.
Millis, who has been training in Holland for the past six months, finished third in the GP with Korenbloem O’Neill.
Other news from abroad is that Dutch-based Brit Camilla Sygall has sold her top ride DJ One More Time to Portuguese young rider Maria Amaral. Sygall had trained the 13-year-old gelding since he was five.
