See popular Brits in action at Addington International
Some of Britain’s most popular dressage combinations are set to return to the international arena at Addington CDIYJP/CDI, Bucks, 16-18 April 2009.
 
They include Carl Hester riding Dolendo and Steph Croxford on Mr President (pictured), who have both been out of action for a prolonged period. Then there’s Fiona Bigwood, who will be competing Wie Atlantica in this country for the first time while Nicola McGivern will be giving Active Walero his first outing of the year.
 
Maria Eilberg, who was so successful during the recent Spanish Sunshine Tour has entered Two Sox and Pro-Set and Richard Davison is due to bring Artemis. Other Brits entered are Henriette Andersen and Louis D’Or, Sarah Jane Elmslie and Wellingto Masterplan, Gareth Hughes with Nurejev and Paul Hayler on Martinique.
 
Entries have also been received from British-based Finn Kyra Kyrklund as well as France, Holland, Belgium, Ireland and USA.
 
On the under-21 front, more than 30 of Britain’s most talented riders will be pitting themselves against competitors from Belgium, France, Holland, Denmark, Spain, Ireland and Italy.
 
The British junior entries are: Alex Barr, Melissa Beer, Samantha Brown, Lizzie Corrie, Emily Harris, Bobby Hayler, Pippa Hutton, Darcas Lever, Gemma Maddocks and Samantha Turman-Baker.
 
The young riders are: Katie Abberley, Jessica Chan, Emily Cousins, Rebecca Drane, Sarah Gorvett, Lara Griffith, Emily Harris, Samantha Harrison, Charlie Hutton, Alice Oppenheimer and Zoe Sleigh. Additional entries: Sarah Higgins, Kirsten Fox and Robert Trobridge.

The pony competitors are: Elspeth Day, Claire Gallimore, Sarah-Jayne Keevil, Natasha Leak, Eliza Mason, Georgina Starkie, Laura Thyer, Tamsin Vaughan and Fiona Wood.
 
This competition was instigated by the Bechtolsheimer family in 2003 and has been generously supported by them ever since. However, some classes are still looking for sponsorship. If you would like to help, please contact Jeanette Watson (01296 712402).

Thursday 16 April: pony, junior, YR team tests and grand prix
Friday 17 April: pony, junior, YR individual test and grand prix freestyle
Saturday 18 April: pony, junior, YR consolation (team) tests and freestyle
