Grand Prix dressage returns to Royal Windsor Horse Show

The best of British show jumping and dressage are set to compete at the Royal Windsor Horse Show on 13 -17 May 2009, the first outdoor equestrian show of the season.

Carl Hester, fresh from his success at Hartpury’s Winter Dressage Championships will head a top class field of British riders as they bring dressage to Royal Windsor before the Alltech FEI European Championships on 25-30 August 2009.

The opening day of the show, Wednesday 13 May, will host two special competitions; a Potential International Dressage Horse class for up and coming Prix St George horses and a Grand Prix Kür, both supported by the BEF’s World Class Programme and organised in consultation with British Dressage and the World Class Programme.

Spectators will see Carl Hester’s Utopia in action, along with senior riders Richard Davison, Nicky Barratt, and Dane Rawlins, as well as stars of the future from the World Class Performance programme including prospect Charlotte Du Jardin.

Not only will they be performing in front of a home crowd, but also for some esteemed British Dressage judges including: Jennie Loriston-Clarke, Jane Kidd, Stephen Clarke, Andrew Gardiner and Isobel Wessels.

Tickets are priced at £13 (adults), £9 (concessions including Royal Windsor Advantage Card Holders) and £5 (children 5-16 years) if booked in advance.
