Gemma Green and Showtime enjoyed a double victory at the Southern Summer Regional Championships held at Oldencraig Equestrian Centre, 22-23 July 2006.

Gemma and the 17hh seven-year-old Dutch-bred stallion by Contango won the qualifiers for both the Equimax Elementary Open National Championships and the Saracen Horse Feeds Advanced Medium National Championships.

Gemma, who is based at the Headley Stud near Newbury, trains with Jennie Loriston-Clarke and Henk van Bergen. It was Henk who found Showtime for Gemma in Holland last October.

“Showtime was the last horse we saw on our horse buying trip. He was unbeaten on the continent, so it is quite a lot to live up to. It is good to know we have kept going in the right direction. We have entered the Kingston Maurward regional at medium level and, if we do well, I will have to decide at which two levels we have the most chance to do well at in the nationals,” said Gemma.
