British based Finnish rider Kyra Kyrklund achieved a creditable second place in both the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Kur with her Olympic partner Max at the 2009 World Dressage Masters in Cannes 11-13 June 2009. The pair finished on a high of 76.05% in the Kur in the shadow of reigning Olympic Champion Anky van Grunsven and Salinero on 79.85%.

Both Kyrklund and Grunsven are on course for the next leg of the World Dressage Masters to be held at Hickstead CDI 23-26 July along with several other top names including Hans Peter Minderhoud, Adelinde Cornelissen and Imke Schellekens-Bartels.
