There were four double winners at the Scottish Summer Regional Championships held at Ingliston Stud, Renfrewshire, on 28-29 July 2006.
The highest-scoring combination was Jennifer Johnston and her six-year-old British-bred gelding Donnergott, by Donnersohn. They won the elementary open on more than 71% and the medium restricted with more than 68%.
Jennifer and Donnergott were third in the novice open at last year’s National Dressage Championships and qualified for this year’s Winter Championships.
“Once he goes down the centre line he always concentrates; so far he has never let me down. He hasn’t competed much and does lots of hacking and jumping, which seems to have worked in our favour as he is fresh and expressive,” said Jennifer, who has owned Donnergott since he was a six-week-old foal.
The other double winners were Katie Smith and PGB Xanthos, who won the prelim and novice restricted titles, event rider Ruth Edge headed the novice open with Paper Tiger and the prix st georges with Shining Pupil while Lee McKendry and Gacela took the medium open and advanced medium.
