last updated on August 12, 2009 19:26
Kate Attlee and the six year old Ruxton Conquistador booked their ticket to the National Championships in emphatic style at the Eastern Regionals, College Bedfordshire on 1-2 August 2009. The pair won the Elementary Open on 74.05% by a margin of almost 4% to second placed Jacky Stopler and Exposito. “I’m absolutely thrilled” said Kate “I’ve only had the ride on Oscar [Ruxton Conquistador] for four months but already we’re very excited about him. He’s got a real competition head and loves to work – he just ticks all the boxes! We got a nine for our centre line and his canter work is fabulous.” Owned by Trish Andrews and trained by Trish Gardener the Conteur gelding will also be aimed at music classes next year.
