Scotland Regional Championships: Wyse takes three

Corinna Wyse secured three wins at the Scotland Regional Championships, Ingliston Equestrian Centre 8 – 9 August 2009.
Wyse won both the Novice Open and Elementary Open with her own 5 year old German-bred gelding Kasadeau (pictured). She then went on to win the Advanced Medium Restricted with the 9 year old German mare Riva, the horse with whom she won the Medium Restricted national title last year.
“I am totally overwhelmed,” said Wyse “it’s a bit of a shock to be honest! “It was only Kasadeau’s third outing at elementary so I didn’t expect him to win at all.”
“He’s an incredible horse to work with. He’s talented, has an amazing ability to learn and is completely sensible with it – I’ve never had a horse like him. I have to be careful not to allow him to do too much too soon as he finds everything so easy.”
“Riva is a totally different horse as she can be hot,” explained Wyse ,“though she always gives the feeling that she’s working with me. In the Advanced Medium we achieved a controlled, safe test so I’m really happy with her.”
