Britains leading dressage rider Carl Hester and Paralympic dressage star Lee Pearson MBE OBE were amongst the five riders to join the British Horse Society (BHS) Equestrian Hall of Fame in November 2005.
The BHS launched the Hall of Fame earlier in the year to celebrate the heroes and heroines – human and equine – of the equestrian world.
Speaking at the induction luncheon at the Cavalry and Guards Club, London, BHS president Patrick Print said: “The world of equestrianism would simply not be the same without the great achievements of Pippa Funnell, Lucinda Green, Carl Hester, Lee Pearson and John Whitaker, or the tremendous performances of Arko III, Primmore’s Pride, and Shear H2O. We’re proud of them all.”
