British Dressage seeks Assistant to BYRDS (U25’s) Officer

British Dressage is looking for an efficient organiser with communication and organisational skills who is able to work as part of a small team and job share.
You will assist the BYRDS (U25’s) Officer to support the BYRDS Director, Committee and Selectors to develop dressage for riders between the ages of 8 – 25 yrs regionally and nationally.
Your responsibilities will include:
♦ Assist in the organisation of Pony, Junior & Young Rider Viewing weekend and Squad Training Sessions.
♦ Assist BYRDS Co-ordinator to co-ordinate International Competitions and European Championships for U21 riders including rider entries.
♦ Maintenance of U21 International results and competition records.
♦ Assist in the co-ordination our new Young Professional Scheme - Days and Final.
♦ Arrange training sessions at regional events for Assessors/Trainers of BYRDS rider tests.
♦ Assist in arranging Judges for the BYRDS Inter-Regional Squad competition.
♦ Update BYRDS Information Packs and website details.
♦ To undertake new projects and assist the BYRDS Officer in updating Chef d’Equipe, Rider Information packs and U25s Proficiency tests.
♦ Assist BYRDS Co-ordinator in her role as Lead Child Protection Welfare Officer for British Dressage and attend Child Protection, Equity & Equality meetings in her absence.
♦ Co-ordinate meetings, preparing agendas, take minutes and actions as necessary. Type reports, timetables and letters.
♦ To assist team members in the membership and horse registration department as required.
Knowledge and experience:
♦ Good skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Publisher, Excel and Access
♦ Good organiser, able to work on own initiative and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
♦ Excellent telephone manner
♦ Good inter-personal skills and to be able to work as part of a team
♦ Good oral and written communications skills
♦ Equestrian knowledge is helpful

Salary £16,500 per annum pro rata. The position is part time / job share (Monday – Wednesday, 9.00 am – 5.00 pm) located at the above address.
