World renowned trainer Conrad Schumacher returns to the UK to host a dressage symposium at Patchetts Equestrian Centre on Wednesday 25 November. The seminar, in association with Horsemart and British Dressage promises to be a must see event.Schumacher is one of the foremost dressage trainers, having trained students to Olympic and World Championship level. He has been an influential force in the successful teams from Germany, The Netherlands, Great Britain and the USA.
With his many years of experience as a rider, coach, trainer and judge, and his excellent command of the English language, he is able to communicate his ideas and his passion for the sport clearly and succinctly to his audiences. “I was so inspired by Mr Schumacher’s clear and concise training methods,” said Gillie Timmis, a spectator at the event. “Each of the horse and rider combinations seemed to bloom under his supervision! I rushed home to ride after the Hand clinic and practiced his easy to understand ‘working patterns’ on my young gelding. The results were amazing!"
This year the evening will include: ‘Preparing to Win’ demonstrating Schumacher’s working theories on mental fitness; ‘Quality Preparation’ and his ‘Three Pre-requisites of Classical Dressage Training’. The seminar will visit the fundamental core of Schumacher’s philosophy and he will also explain his working patterns for teaching lateral work and flying changes.
British international rider Anna Ross-Davies will be one of several riders assisting Schumacher in demonstrating his training system from Preliminary to Advanced Medium.
