Hunt selected for FEI Dressage Committee

David Hunt, Chairman of the International Dressage Trainers Club, was accepted to the newly appointed FEI Dressage Committee on Friday November 20, 2009 at the FEI General Assembly in Copenhagen, Denmark.

“I’m very honoured and pleased to be chosen for the committee,” said Hunt. “It’s an exciting time for dressage and with this committee it’s a new group of people and new chairman (Frank Kemperman) who I’ve worked with in the past and found to be very clear and direct. The reinstatement of this committee marks a big turning point for the world of dressage as we look at new proposals including a supervisory panel, which will sit above and monitor the judges.”

National Federations voted between DTF (Dressage Task Force) chair Frank Kemperman, also the show director of the CHIO Aachen, and O Judge Wojczek Markowski for the position of chairman of the new dressage committee with Kemperman winning the vote.

The four other dressage committee members elected were Thomas Baur (GER) – Chairman of the International Show Organizers Club, Margit Otto-Crepin (FRA) – Chair of the International Dressage Riders Club, Elisabeth Lundholm (SWE) – Trainer and Chef d’Equipe of the Swedish Team, and Anne Gribbons (US) – O Judge, trainer and rider.

Dressage Task Force member Robert Dover was pleased with the constitution of the new Dressage Committee. "I congratulate these six people and know their wisdom and influence will bring about great change for the sport of Dressage.”
