SW Region seeks BYRDS representative

The British Dressage South West Regional Committee is currently seeking a new BYRDS representative.

The BYRDS Representative is considered a very important role on the SW Regional Committee of British Dressage and it is key to encouraging enthusiasm for dressage amongst our young riders; seeing that they get the necessary training, are given sound advice on all aspects of dressage riding and the opportunities to develop their riding and competition skills.

The primary role of the BYRDS representative is to provide technical input to the RDO and the Regional Committee.

The successful candidate will be responsible for

• the organising and provision of training for young riders
• generation of enthusiasm for the sport
• supporting riders in the development of their skills

All of this requires enthusiasm, boundless energy, the ability to think outside of the box and above all have tact and empathy.

Applicants must have Internet and email access, be willing to undertake a full and varied workload while working along side the RDO and other Volunteers who are already in place within the region, communicating with other Regional Committee Members where appropriate.

The successful applicant will be supported by the retiring committee member who is currently in this role.
