The British Dressage team at the World Equestrian Games finished in sixth place with all four riders qualifying to take part in the individual competition.
Laura Bechtolsheimer with Douglas Dorsey and Wayne Channon with Lorenzo CH competed on the first day, scoring 67.37% and 67.57% respectively, leaving Britain in bronze medal position overnight.
Two more strong performances on the second day saw Emma Hindle and Lancet score 70.41%, and Sandy Phillips score 68.29% with Lara 106.
Despite strong and consistent results Britain finished in sixth place as USA, Denmark and Sweden all benefitted from a single very high scoring team member.
Talking from Aachen Chef d'Equipe David Trott said; " Emma rode a really cracking test today. She has worked so hard and I'm delighted that it went well in the arena. Sandy's mare suffered a little bit from the tense atmosphere but only had little mistakes.
"I'm not disappointed to finish sixth. It was noticeable that some of the combinations were very established and I was pleased that we've been so careful to bring youger horses on. I think we're in a good position for the future and we've got four riders through to the Grand Prix Special, which hasn't happen before."
The team gold went to Germany, ahead of the Netherlands with silver and the USA with bronze.
Danish rider Andreas Helgstrand and Blue Hors Matine won the class with a score of 76.33%.
