Premier league dressage 2010 promises top dressage on home turf

The dressage premier league season kicks off this weekend with the first of these high profile events taking place at Myerscough Arena, Lancs., 12-14 March 2010. Eight shows make up the prestigious 2010 series running from March through to the end of July. They offer competition from medium level upwards and often include young horse classes as well as FEI pony, junior and young rider sections.

Held at prominent venues around the UK the shows are an ideal environment for those gearing up to serious international competition. For many they are a chance to chase direct qualification for the national championships in the FEI classes of PSG, Int 1 and GP. They are also regularly attended by BD under 21’s selectors and are a great place to spot upcoming talent as well as watch the seasoned professionals at work.

For spectators the shows offer top flight dressage at some of the UK’s premier dressage venues and are a rare opportunity to see technical grand prix special tests and high level freestyle to music in the flesh. Admission is usually free and should prove well worth a visit.

Schedules for all premier leagues will appear in the relevant issue of British Dressage Magazine (highlighted with an orange/gold border) with the exception of the Addington premier league schedule. This will appear out of sequence in issue 3 of BD magazine published 2 April 2010 and is also available as a .pdf to download here.
