Volunteers sought for the Home International dressage competition

The Home International competition which this year will take place at The College Equestrian Centre, Keysoe, 8-10 October 2010, has become the pinnacle of many regional riders’ ambitions – teams of four, from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales are selected to ride for their Region, from Preliminary to Prix St Georges. This year, Central and Eastern Regions will play host to the competition that promises to be hotter than ever!
German judge, Peter Holler, joined by a vet and one of our own top judges, will stage an FEI-style trot up, this will be followed by warm-up classes on Friday, 8 October. The all important team tests will take place on 9th & 10th, culminating in the eagerly awaited prize giving on the Sunday afternoon.
Event organisers are seeking the help of writers, stewards, sheet collectors, hosts/hostesses and general gofers and hope that lots of dressage enthusiasts will be able to share in the unique atmosphere of the weekend, giving their time for a morning, an afternoon or maybe even a day or two!
What’s in it for you? A look behind the scenes; being part of a prestigious competition; lunch and refreshments; BD’s undying thanks. It’s definitely a case of “ask not what your Region can do for you but what you can do for your Region”! Who knows, perhaps you’ll be in one of the regional teams in the future and others will be there helping on your behalf.
Please help! Contact the Central Region Members’ Rep – Danielle Vanstone – on 07940 040075 or email danvan@hotmail.co.uk . Thank you!
