WEG 2010: Grand prix special start times announced
last updated on October 05, 2010 09:59
After the thrill of winning team silver in the grand prix, all four British riders qualify amongst the top 30 scoring individuals to compete in the grand prix special today at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky.
As the UK dressage community wait anxiously 5 hours ahead of our riders in Lexington, BBC Sport offer live coverage of the event via the Red Button service on 29 September 2010. Tune in to watch Fiona, Carl and Laura's performances between 19:30 and 22:30.
Team GBR Start times are as follows:
| Rider | Horse | Start time USA (EDT) |
Start time UK (GMT) |
||||
| Maria Eilberg | Two Sox | 10:24 | 15:24 | ||||
| Fiona Bigwood | Wie Atlantico | 14:44 | 19:44 | ||||
| Carl Hester | Liebling II | 15:14 | 20:14 | ||||
| Laura Bechtolsheimer | Mistral Hojris | 16:54 | 21:54 |
A full list of start times for the grand prix special can be viewed here.
The top 15 competitors will qualify for the grand prix kur on Friday 1 October.
Because the kur is an evening performance (compared to the daytime performances of the grand prix and grand prix special) this means it takes place in the early hours of Saturday morning UK time. Unfortunately for us this means we can't enjoy the live evening shows in the same way and TV coverage is therefore much more limited. We are hopeful some highlight shows will be available and will of course keep you up to date as soon as we can.
FEI TV offer full online coverage of the grand prix special and grand prix kur on feitv.org.
