Riders announced for The Albion National Convention 2010

A variety of combinations have been carefully selected by David Hunt (BD Director of Training) for the Albion National Convention 2010 at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire 27-28 November. It is hoped that the pairings will show a progression in their training with Klaus Balkenhol over the two days. World Equestrian Games team and individual silver medalist Laura Bechtolsheimer who is regularly trained by Klaus and is looking forward to sharing their training philosophy with the audience told British Dressage, 'I want people to see how we get the horses to perform using both kind and horse friendly techniques’.

The riders below have been selected for the Albion National Convention:

Laura Bechtolsheimer – horse to be confirmed
Individual and team silver medals at the World Equestrian Games 2010

Gareth Hughes riding Duvie
Intermediate I freestyle champion at the Dressage Deluxe National Championships 2010.

Matt Frost riding Mercian Titanisch T
3rd in the Advanced medium freestyle class at the Winter Championships 2010.
23rd in the PSG at the Dressage Deluxe National Championships 2010.

Alice Oppenheimer riding Headmore Delegate
Was placed 2nd in both the Medium Open and Advanced Medium at the Dressage Deluxe National Championships 2010.

Alex Hardwick riding Calvin G
Advanced Medium restricted champion at the Dressage Deluxe National Championships 2010.

The convention will look at a range of combinations at different levels of training, from young horses to grand prix, with Balkenhol demonstrating his philosophy of enhancing the natural talents of a horse for the classical dressage training.

Tickets are now on sale and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so apply now in order to avoid disappointment. Everyone is welcome.
