BD Para-Equestrian Dressage Talent Spotting

Shaggy ponies are welcome, as the judges look at your riding skills, not your horse. You can share a horse or pony with someone else or you may be able to hire one. After riding your test, the judge will give you a short training session to assess your knowledge and ability.

The 2009 Para-Equestrian Dressage Talent Spotting took place at the Vale View Equestrian Centre, Melton Mowbray, Leics, on 21-22 February. There were three classes based on age groups: 10-15, 16-25 and more than 26. Entry cost £20 and the tests were as follows: test 4 for grade Ia, 10 for Ib, 21 for II, 31 for III and 41 for IV. Click here for the 2009 results.

The event is open to any rider who has been classified and has not competed at the BD National  Championships in the past two years or is a previous winner of the talent spotting, unless it's for a different age group.

For more info and entry forms, which will be available from November, contact BD's paralympic officer at British Dressage, NAC, Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth, Warwickshire, CV8 2RJ, by sending in an A4 stamped addressed envelope.
