HOYS Future Elite Championship 2017
Qualification is currently underway for the fifth annual Future Elite Championship, which is held each year at the prestigious Horse of the Year show in Birmingham (4 - 8 Oct 2017).
Targeted at horses aged eight to ten working at inter I level, the championship aims to showcase Britain's rising stars, whilst also providing up-and-comers with invaluable experience on the big stage.
For 2014 winner, Anders Dahl, the competition proved to be a priceless experience for his horse, Selten HW: "It was his first time competing in an indoor arena, which is one of the main reasons why I wanted to take part in the competition because it's a super learning opportunity to go in and see how they react before they start Grand Prix."
Combinations' scores in PSG and inter I competitions at Premier League, High Profile and British-based CDI shows will be used to determine six of the places on offer for the championship. The average of their three best scores will be used to give an overall percentage, those with the highest overall percentage will secure their place.
