Under 25 training opportunities
Whether you want to learn to ride better, make friends, teach your horse new things or compete in the Olympics, the British Young Rider Dressage Scheme (BYRDS) is there to help you make your dreams come true and have bags of fun at the same time.
Flatwork is the key to success, whatever you like doing – showing, show jumping, eventing, team chasing - and you can learn the basics of dressage at BYRDS regional training. This is for you if you are aged 12-25. If you are eight to 11, you can join BYRDS fledglings, which runs alongside the regional training, and you don’t even have to be a British Dressage (BD) member.
For those of you who like the thrill of competing, there is BYRDS national training. This is for the country’s most talented riders aged 14-25.
