LOCAL RIDER MAGAZINE:
We often need an extra pair of hands at our events and training sessions. We work with some of the best trainers and riders in the region and helping out at our events - eg seminars, BYRDS Camp, lecture demos etc not only means you get in for free (of course!) you can hear from some of the very best and most experienced equestrian people around and it's amazing how much you can learn that way.
Have you ever thought about being a writer at affilliated competitions? Again, you can learn a phenomenal amount by sitting in with an experienced list judge, so whether you are starting out or thinking about making the jump up to the next level writing can help you to see things as a judge does and gain a better insight into how vital marks are won and lost.
Please contact Sharon or Members Rep Sharon Edwards if you would like to offer your services as an occasional volunteer. We are trying to build up a list of names of people we can approach for extra help on the occasions we need it and we'd love to hear from you!

TWO NEW AFFILIATED VENUES
We have two new affiliated centres in the region Priory Equestrian in Frensham Surrey and Bedgebury Park Equestrian Centre in Kent.
Run by Real Shows and Events, the shows will be based at Priory Equestrian in Frensham, Surrey. Formally the base of Andrew Gould, Priory Equestrian offers a newly surfaced 25 x 60 and a more recently built 20 x 40 with indoor warm up. Set in the heart of the Surrey countryside and with good access to major road networks, it is a great addition to the Southern Calendar. Shows will start with Prelim – Elementary classes with a view to progressing to the more advanced levels in 2011.
Real Shows and Events is an exciting new enterprise that has been formed to offer riders in the South East high quality events, run for riders by riders. We have over 10 year’s experience of running high quality shows, from grass roots to Grand Prix and are committed to providing riders with the best possible experience.
Visit us online at www.real-shows.co.uk, to enter securely online at any time of the day or night. With access to some of the best facilities in the UK, we are very excited to announce our launch, and we look forward to seeing you at some of our shows. Please log onto our website for further details, or call us on 07502 371 660.
The second is Bedgebury Park Equestrian Centre. Formally a school and education centre, it is now owned by entrepreneur business woman Gabriella Atkinson and as soon as the stunning refurbishments are complete they will be up and running - watch for more details.
