BD Eastern Youth
If you're aged between six and 25 and want to get involved in dressage in your region, then BD Youth in the Eastern region is for you!
BD Youth offers not only competitions, teams, prizes and top training, but also the chance to make new friends and have fun! Wherever you live there's a BD Youth group near you - so taking part is easy, simple and enjoyable. In the East we try and spread out events over all the counties we cover. We have squadding days, test riding, camps, clinics and demos, so why not come along and find out more?
Eastern Youth Regional Representatives
We have two Youth Regional Reps in the East. Phillippa Coles is on hand to answer any questions you have about getting involved with BD Youth in the Eastern region and works with our older riders, Pip is in charge of teams, squadding and entry into Foundation Academies and other opportunities for young riders.
If you are under 12 years old, Jessica Brown is your point of contact. Jessica works with our younger riders just starting out on their dressage journey, making dressage fun and ensuring that they understand how to look after their pony, how to ride a test, and meet other people of the same age at our camps, training days and other events.
Youth Ambassador Role
We are looking for a new Youth Ambassador. As many of you know, Jessica Brown has fulfilled this role brilliantly for the past few years, and is now our U12 Youth Rep. So there is a vacancy for an Ambassador. This role is for someone who wants to get involved with supporting and helping our young riders in a voluntary capacity. If you are interested - please read the role description below, and download the application form to apply. You need to be aged between 18 and 25.
Here in the Eastern region we host loads of training sessions and social activities throughout the year that you can get involved with! Have lessons with national and local coaches, meet fellow young riders with a passion for dressage and have great fun progressing towards your training goals. Sessions and camps run during the school holidays and over weekends and include everything from test riding and training to unmounted workshops, DVD sessions and social activities.
BD Youth Squads
When you start your BD Youth training journey within your region, you can attend assessment days to be allocated to a BD Youth Regional Squad. Being squadded opens up a whole bunch of opportunities for team competition, including the Home International, BD Youth U25s Championships and Inter Regionals. We already have several dates for Assessment Days in 2020 on the booking page so get booking!
If you're ready to be squadded then you can book onto an assessment day within the region:
