Judges Convention 2018 - back by popular demand - Stephen Clarke and Ferdi Eilberg

Bishop Burton College, Beverley, East Yorkshire on 17 April 2018.

The ever popular convention is back with Ferdi Eilberg and Stephen Clarke presenting a full day with horses of all levels.  Tickets can be ordered online or by phone at any time at £30 for listed judged and for trainee judges and all others they are £35.

Although the National Judges Convention is a fantastic event to attend, please remember that it doesn't count as an official seminar towards your compulsory training. For details of regional seminars and the Principles of Judging Seminar 2018, please see below.

Seminars - CDP Requirements

For 2018 the annual Principles of Judging Seminar will be held on the 6th - 7th October at Moulton College, Northamptonshire and is for Trainee - List 3a judges. Futher details will be avaliable shortly. 

All judges must attend one whole day seminar as a minimum per calendar year. The seminar can be either a national event (Principles Seminar) or a regional seminar. The attendee must ensure they register /provide their tickets on arrival to ensure they are officially logged. Those not attending the whole day will be not be able to log the seminar as CPD.

For list 1, 2a and 2's Hartpury, Hickstead CDI training and Olympia FEI Resfresher Course will also count towards annual seminar attendence. Futher information will become avaliable in the Spring newsletter. 

Reviewing exam DVDs

 Following the next series of exams, candidates will be able to book a one to one session with an examiner or marker for a fee of £25 to go though their written or DVD paper. We hope judges will be able to use the exam papers to evaluate their judging and we'd like to offer this added support if someone feels it may be beneficial.To do this please refer to the Tutor Judge List and organise a session directly with the examiner. If you need any further advice please contact the office. 

There will also be the opportunity to watch the DVD again. This will be put online for a short period of time after the January DVD exams, information on the date and time will be made avaliable to those who have sat the exam to enable you to book on. The fee for this will be £20. This will open on the 16th February so please return back then to book onto a session. 

Before booking onto the viewing of the DVD Part 2 exam please refer to the below:

You can only book onto view this DVD between the 16th February and 2nd March. No bookings will be taken after this point.On the 5th March you will be emailed with a link to the email you have registered at the time of booking and you will be able to view the DVD as much as you like for the following 10 days. On the 14th March viewing of the DVD will be removed.

Important Reminder: Do not share, replicate, video or attempt to copy this video. This is BD private property and anyone found to have replicated will have their membership revoked. This footage is for BD training purposes only.

Young Judges Day

Jo Graham will be hosting a one-day young judging taster at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire on 4 July. This day is targeted at 18 - 40 year olds who're currently judging or interested in judging in the future. Further details will be available shortly but to express your interest please drop Kelsey an email.
