Allen & Page extends support of BD

Following the huge success of the inaugural Veteran Horse and Rider Championships last year, British Dressage (BD) and Veteran Horse Society (VHS) are pleased to announce that Allen and Page have continued their support of this fast growing series for 2016. BD has also introduced a new series for Native Ponies which the Norfolk-based equestrian feed manufacturer have pledged further support for.

For horse foaled in 2001 or earlier, the Veteran Horse Championships has two sections, one for horses 15 – 19 and one for those aged 20 or over. The Veteran Rider Championship is for competitors in the 55 or older bracket. The championships will take place at Vale View in Leicestershire, 14-16 October 2016.

Alongside prize money and fabulous rosettes at every level, Allen & Page is also supporting special recognition for the oldest horse and rider combinations in the form of gift vouchers for use against their extensive product list. With their dedicated Veteran Vitality range, they’re perfectly placed to help keep all the horses looking and feeling young at heart.

2016 championship qualification got underway on 01 December, with classes ranging from Intro to Advanced Medium for all three categories. A new addition this year is a Prix St Georges class for horses aged between 15- 19 years. The team at Vale View have great plans to improve the Final which promises to be bigger and better than in 2015.

Allen & Page is also supporting BD’s new inaugural British Native Pony Championship series for any pony registered on the pure or part bred list of any British Native Pony Society. Classes range from Prelim to Elementary with a combined Medium to Prix St Georges class. Qualification started on New Year’s Day for a championship final at Solihull Riding Club on 30 October 2016. Again, Allen & Page is the perfect partner as their Fast Fibre is ideal for laminitis-prone Natives as it provides all the important nutrients without high starch and sugar levels.

British Dressage Fixtures Officer Karen Beaumont commented; “BD is delighted that Allen & Page is on board for the hugely successful VHS series and we’re looking forward to working with them on building it into a fantastic occasion. The minute we mentioned the new Native series to Tim Page and his team, they instantly recognised what a great opportunity it was for them and wanted to be a part of it. They love seeing riders get the best from their horses and ponies, as does BD, so this new chance for Natives to showcase their talent is really exciting for us all.”
