RoR introduces Medium to its dressage series

In 2011, British Dressage and Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) joined forces to launch the RoR Racehorse to Dressage Horse series, inviting ex-racehorses across the country to discover a new vocation in dressage. Five years later, it’s become one of our most popular series and this year, it’s bigger and better than ever with the introduction of Medium classes.

Twenty Intro, Prelim and Novice qualifiers will take place across the country (click here to view the list of qualifying classes), with the two highest combinations with 62% or above qualifying for the championships at Houghton Hall, Cambridgeshire on 23 – 25 September 2016. If a combination has already qualified, the ticket to the championships will be passed down the line.

To qualify at Elementary and Medium, two score sheets at 62% or above gained between 1 January and 31 August 2016 in Bronze/Silver sections are required; these sheets must be submitted directly to RoR.

Qualifiers are open to any paid BD member eligible for their chosen level and all horses must be registered using their racing name with RoR and have raced in GB, they must also be a minimum of Associate registered with BD. Please click here for more information regarding eligibility.

The Houghton Hall championship final not only boasts a total prize fund of £2,000 but this year, we’re proud to announce that crowd-favourite freestyle classes will also feature at the championships – with these, no qualification is necessary, just enter the RoR class as you would any other.
