Small Tour Championships set to return

British Dressage is excited to announce the return of the Small Tour Championships for a second year. The championships is the brainchild of List 1 Judge, Carole Thornton, who saw a gap in the competition calendar for riders who have not yet reached international status but, nonetheless, enjoy taking part in this level of competition.

Inspired by shows on the Continent, Carole discovered a demand for additional competitions for these riders and as the format separates the Prix St Georges and the Intermediate I, it provides opportunities for those at both levels.

Qualifying rounds will take place at ten venues, all chosen to give competitors a first-rate experience, and the final takes place at Houghton Hall in December.

All the qualifying classes are judged by List 1 or List 2a judges, with the final playing host to three judges for each class, including FEI judges, to add to the sense of occasion.

Eligibility is limited to combinations who have never taken part in a CDI at that level, although the rider may have done so on another horse. Young Riders may enter the Inter I but not the PSG f they have ridden Young Rider tests at a CDIY.
