Pony Euros 2016: green for go!

The British Team have settled in for this year’s Pony European Championships (17-21 August) in Vilhelmsborg, Denmark and have all passed the trot up this afternoon ahead of getting underway tomorrow (Wednesday) with the Team Test. That continues on Thursday where the team medals will be decided. Then two days of Individual Test for medals before the show case final, the Freestyle on Sunday where medals will also be awarded.


Lara Kuropatwa (16) from Malmesbury, Wiltshire with Samantha Brown’s Le Chiffre (chestnut, stallion, 9rs, s. Caesar 171).

Sophie Taylor (13) from Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire with Becky Moody’s Madam’s Miss Maria (bay, mare, 11yrs, s. Wolhoeve’s Silco).

Maddy Whelan (13) from Abingdon, Oxfordshire with her own Ode to Shannon (dark bay, mare, 7yrs).

Isobel Lickley (12) from Albrighton, Staffordshire with Robert and Nicola Lickley’s Gigolo (chestnut, gelding, 18yrs, s. Going East).

Chef d’Equipe Caroline Bell is currently in the draw meeting and we await the news of Britain’s place in the draw and the order of the team.
