BD vacancy: Sport Administration Intern

British Dressage (BD) is the national governing body for the Olympic sport of dressage and a member of the British Equestrian Federation. We aim to develop and promote dressage competition in the UK at all levels, to continually improve our sport. As part of our ongoing development, we have an exciting opportunity for a Sports Administration Intern to join the head office team for the summer months.

We're looking for an enthusiastic person with excellent administrative and organisational skills to join us for a three month internship, from July to September, based at our offices in Meriden, West Midlands.

Working as part of the Sport Operations department, this is a general administration role – primarily to support our Grading team, as well as help in other aspects of the organisation where needed. Applicants must have a positive, proactive ‘can do’ attitude and be proficient in both Word & Excel.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or current undergraduate to gain valuable experience in an office environment, particularly if they wish to pursue an equine-related career. Specific knowledge of dressage and general familiarity with equestrian sport would be a distinct advantage, as the successful individual will be expected to hit the ground running.

This internship will provisionally run from 3 July to 29 September inclusive, with a pro-rata salary of £15,000. To apply, please send a covering letter outlining your suitability for the role and a copy of your CV by email to Angela Green:

Closing date: Thursday 15 June 2017
